UPDATE AND UPGRADES FAQ's

Free Upgrades and Updates are included for a period
of one year with your purchase.

You can update your Plexis software for free if you are currently running within the same Version Series. If you are running a prior production release you can still use this file but you will be UPGRADING not UPDATING your Plexis software. Upgrading after one year from the last purchase date will require you to pay an upgrade fee. The following example explains the difference between an Update Version and an Upgrade Version.

Updates are : Minor enhancements and Bug Fixes.
Upgrades are : Major enhancements, New Modules and Features.

Assume you are currently running version number 2.8.8.1
and the most current version of your Plexis software is 2.8.8.50, you can
update for free up to one year of your initial purchase regardless of the
current production version number, even if it is a major upgrade release.

Lets say Plexis releases version number 2.8.9.1 and you are running
version 2.8.8.50 or older, this is now an upgrade and you will need to pay an upgrade fee.

If your purchase was within one year of any new release you might
need to re-register but you will not be required to pay an upgrade fee.

If you intend to pay for an UPGRADE simply follow the instructions on the Downloads page. Contact Plexis Software for an authorization number. Prior to getting the upgrade authorization you will see some registration screens and notations on your invoices. Backup your system as a precaution.

Update / Upgrade Policy:
1. Contact the Sales Department to verify your purchase status prior to installing an update or upgrade.
2. Backup your system prior to installing any updates or upgrades.
3. Updates are provided as a courtesy service to Plexis customers within the first year of initial purchase.
4. Purchased Updates or Free Upgrades do not include any free technical support.
5. If your existing Plexis Software version is more than one year old you may need to purchase an upgrade.
6. Perform updates and upgrades during our normal business hours in case of difficulty.
7. If the system requests a new license key use the "Register Your Software" link at the bottom of this page.
8. Voice requests for new license keys are not accepted unless you have pre-purchased support time from us.
