What's disabled in your Demo Version? Nothing is disabled, there are no data restrictions and we provide ample time to configure and test our products. The Plexis POS Demo Version is a fully functional Point Of Sale solution. The Plexis POS Demo Version can be put into live service then upgraded to a fully registered version later with all features and data in tact. Demo Versions place the words "DEMO" on receipts. You can remove demo words by purchasing Plexis POS and obtaining a registration code. Why is Plexis POS priced so low? Plexis POS has been in the marketplace since 1996 and was one of the first full featured Windows POS software systems in the USA. Plexis was sold to specialty markets at a much higher price compared to our current pricing. We do not bump the price up and then offer so called free support you may not need. Most of our customers prefer the Self Help method of installation, setup and configuration in order to keep costs down. Support time is available for a nominal fee if needed and limited eMail support is currently free. So enjoy the rich feature set of Plexis POS as we cannot guarantee how long we can maintain these very low prices. What kind of businesses can Plexis POS support? Our Point of Sale software can be used for many types of enterprises such as: Retail Stores, Fast Food, Restaurant, Liquor Bars, Coffee Shops, Liquor Stores, Clothing, Hardware, Boutiques, Gift Shops, Toy Stores, General Merchandise, Quick Service Restaurants, Most Hard Goods, Grocery and Convenience Stores, Pizza Delivery and more. Many customizable settings are available in Plexis POS that allow you to "Fine Tune" the software for your enterprise. Simply download our DEMO VERSION and try Plexis POS in your business today! Can I disable the Restaurant functions? Yes, from the Main Menu choose Company Management, Edit Selected Company and Un-Check Restaurant. This can be changed at any time to regain the restaurant functionality. Can Plexis POS Demo Version be upgraded to the fully registered product later? Plexis POS Express or Plexis POS Network can be registered at ANY time by e-mail or over the telephone. You will need to purchase Plexis POS prior to registering. Please consult our PRICE LIST for details. Is Plexis POS Quickbooks Compatible? Plexis POS does not interface with Quickbooks accounting products. Plexis POS is fully integrated with an accounting module built in. In most cases there is no need to directly interface to other applications. Plexis POS uses industry standard files which can be exported in a variety of methods to other applications if required. ASCII Export functions are included to facilitate data migration between applications. Many accounting applications have import utilities built in which will accept data from Plexis POS. Can I get a Plexis POS on CD for free? Due to the expense of duplicating, shipping and handling we offer Plexis POS on CD for a small fee. Can I get a manual to accompany the Demo Version? The installation manual is provided on our web site and on the distribution disk. The manual can be printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Can my existing data be imported into Plexis POS? Plexis provides built in ASCII Comma Delimited import utilities to import data from your legacy or existing programs. The built in features allow for the most important information to be transferred seamlessly into Plexis POS. If extensive importing and data manipulation are required Plexis Software can provide services to convert and transfer your complex data. What is the Plexis POS Network license? Plexis POS Network can connect multiple Terminals, Registers or Computers at one time. Plexis POS Express is designed for use on a Single Terminal, Register or Computer. Can Wireless Networks be used with Plexis POS? Wireless networks are NOT recommended or supported in Plexis POS. Wireless Networks are generally used for the Internet and not acceptable for use with high speed transaction based applications like Plexis POS. Wireless networks can be adversely affected from a number of sources not within your control such as cell phones, other wireless networks in your area, etc. Anytime you access databases over a wireless network you risk the chance of loosing data or corrupting the SQL databases. How many Companies are allowed with Plexis POS? Plexis POS has no restrictions on the number of companies that can be managed. Plexis POS can contain any reasonable number of companies. Can I have Integrated Credit Card Processing? Plexis POS currently supports pc/Charge Payment Server to prosess Credit Cards. Can portable data terminals be used with Plexis POS to manage our inventory? Plexis POS currently supports the Percon Falcon 31x and 33x Portable Terminal line. You can scan or enter items and quantities then instantly update your inventory and receive items. Bar codes can be scanned then printed with a PDT. My company has several locations, can I give copies of Plexis POS to each location without charge? You may use Plexis POS at no additional charge to manage multiple companies at your main location only. With Plexis POS Network you can have multiple Registers connected at one time. You must purchase additional copies of Plexis POS that will be used in different physical locations. By purchasing additional copies we can provide support for each of your locations directly. Can I get Free Technical Support? Plexis provides LIMITED free support by E-Mail only. Telephone Support Plans can be purchased for a nominal fee. Please consult our PRICE LIST for details. Can Plexis provide hardware for our company? Plexis does not sell or support computer hardware at this time. We can provide your company with information to allow you to acquire hardware, network installation and support from a number of approved sources that have a proven record of service. Plexis currently does not have printed sales information. In order to keep our prices down we try to put important sales information on The Internet.
