No Additional Monthly or Annual Licensing Fees:
Once you purchase and register Plexis POS there are no other fees to be paid in order to use the
software in your business. You may optionally purchase voice support time or program upgrades but
we do not require you to do so.
What's disabled in your Demo Version?
Nothing is disabled, there are no data or networking restrictions. The Plexis POS Demo Version is a
fully functional Point Of Sale solution. You can download and install the Plexis POS Demo, test the
Multi-User Networking functionality and the optional PcCharge Credit Card processing add on.
Demo Versions place the words "DEMO" on receipts. You can remove the demo wording by purchasing
Plexis POS and obtaining a registration code.
How long does the Demo Version Run?
The Plexis POS Demo provides at least 90 days from initial installation so you may configure and
test Plexis POS prior to purchase.
How can I obtain a Registration Key and remove demo restrictions?
The Plexis POS Demo Version can be put into live service then upgraded to a fully registered version
with all features and the data you have entered in tact prior to the demo time limit expiration.
Plexis POS Express or Plexis POS Network can be registered at any time On-Line. You will need to
purchase Plexis POS prior to registering your software. Please consult
our PRICE LIST for details.
Why is Plexis POS priced so low?
Plexis POS has been in the marketplace since 1996 and was one of the first full featured
Windows POS software systems in the USA. Plexis was sold to specialty markets at a
much higher price compared to our current pricing. We do not bump the price up and
then offer so called free support you may not need. Most of our customers prefer
the Self Help method of installation, setup and configuration in order to keep
costs down. Support time is available for a nominal fee if needed and limited On-Line
support is currently free.

Can I disable the Restaurant functions?
Yes, from the Main Menu choose Company Management, Edit Selected Company and Un-Check Restaurant.
This can be changed at any time to regain the restaurant functionality.
Can I have Integrated Credit Card Processing?
Plexis POS currently supports PcCharge Payment Server to process Credit Cards which is fully and seamlessly
integrated with Plexis POS. Pin Pad based transactions such as Debit and EBT are not supported from
within Plexis POS. You can still use your stand alone credit card machine to process Debit and EBT

Can I get a Plexis POS on CD for free?
Due to the expense of duplicating, shipping and handling we no longer offer Plexis POS on CD ROM.
You can DOWNLOAD the installer and copy it to
a CD ROM or external memory device. This copy can then be used to install the Plexis POS program on any
computer or network server of your choice.
Without a Program CD what if need to re-install?
You can copy the download program to a CD ROM and keep it in a safe place should you need to re-install
from scratch. The best method is to backup the Plexis POS folder to a CD ROM or other backup media after
installation at regular intervals should you experience a total hardware or system failure. You may then
restore the POS software system from the last backup point.
Can my existing data be imported into Plexis POS?
Plexis provides built in ASCII Comma Delimited import utilities to import data from your
legacy or existing programs. The built in features allow for the most important information
to be transferred seamlessly into Plexis POS. If extensive importing and data manipulation
are required Plexis Software can provide services to convert and transfer your complex
data.
Can I get a printed Plexis POS user guide?
The user guide is provided on our web site free of charge when you download and install the Plexis POS full
version or demo version. The User Guide can be printed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Due to the
expense of duplicating, shipping and handling we no longer offer a printed version of the Plexis POS
User Guide.
What is the Plexis POS Network license?
Plexis POS Network can connect multiple Terminals, Registers or Computers at one time at the same location
on your local area network. Plexis POS Express is designed for use on a Single Terminal, Register or
Computer.
My company has several locations, can I give copies of Plexis POS to each
location without charge?
You may use Plexis POS on one computer or network server. With Plexis POS Network you can have multiple
Registers connected at one time. You must purchase additional copies of Plexis POS that will be used in
different physical locations. By purchasing additional copies we can provide support for each of your
locations directly.
Can I get Free Technical Support?
Plexis provides LIMITED free support On-Line only. Telephone Support may be purchased for
a nominal fee. Please consult our Support Page for details.
Can Plexis POS integrate with QuickBooks or other accounting products?
Plexis POS does not directly interface with QuickBooks or other accounting products. Plexis POS
comes complete with a fully integrated accounting module built in. In most cases there is no need
to directly interface to other applications. Plexis POS uses industry standard files which can be
exported in a variety of methods to other applications if required. ASCII Export functions are
included to facilitate data migration between applications. Many accounting applications have import
utilities built in which will accept data from Plexis POS.
I am not in the USA, can I use Plexis POS in my country?
Plexis POS is designed, sold and supported for use in the USA only. We can not provide Voice Support or
Help Desk Support outside of the USA.  ...more details
